 Tiny Tackers Therapy provides a mobile service on weekdays. Our OTs and OT assistants work various hours. Please contact us for individual therapist availability. 

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Tiny Tackers can provide services to children with NDIS plans that are self-managed or plan managed. All services are charged in line with the NDIS price guide, which is updated intermittently by the NDIS. Current prices are $193.99 for a 60 minute session. This includes 45 minutes face to face and 15 minutes for session notes and planning. Please note that session notes/documentation are a legal requirement of allied health services.  There is no out of pocket cost for clients with NDIS funding. 

 

Medicare

Chronic Disease Management Plan

Client's with a chronic medical condition (i.e. that is expected to last more than 6 months) are eligible for this plan. 

  • This plan can be used for Allied Health services (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy)
  • Up to 5 sessions in total can be rebated by Medicare per calendar year (e.g., 3 for Occupational Therapy and 2 for Speech Pathology)
  • Clients of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent can access an additional 5 sessions

This rebate does not cover the total cost of the service. Please contact Tiny Tackers Therapy for more information about gap payment costs. Please see your GP to organise a Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan and a referral to Tiny Tackers Therapy.

 

Helping Children with Autism Program

Available for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Autism. A management plan must be created by a consultant paediatrician (medicare item 135) or psychiatrist (medicare item 289) prior to the child's 13th birthday. Only one Autism and treatment management plan can be prepare for a child in their lifetime. 

 

A consultant paediatrician or psychiatrist can refer the child to Tiny Tackers Therapy for the purpose of contributing to the child's treatment plan. The child will receive up to 20 treatment services to be shared across psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists etc. These are the total number of services available to each child through the Helping Children with Autism program, not an annual entitlement. It is the families choice how the 20 treatment sessions are distributed across professional services. 

 

The Helping Children with Autism Program does not cover the total cost of the service. Please contact Tiny Tackers Therapy for more information about gap payment. 

 

Private

Tiny Tackers Therapy  provides services for private paying clients. This includes assessments, reports and therapy sessions. Sessions are charged in line with the current NDIS price guide.
