Minecraft Mates

Our Minecraft social skills groups provides children with a fun environment in which they are encouraged to participate in social interactions using the game.

This group aims;

  • To create a safe online space for clients to socialise and develop social and communication skills
  • To establish an individualised screen-time agreement to support screen time moderation
  • To facilitate transitions off video games
  • To support clients to build positive relationships with one another including shared tasks and ideas, small talk, listening skills, being part of a group, planning and problem solving, friendship skills and building self-esteem

This group is run virtually. Participants will take part in the following;

  • 1 Hour group session
  • 30mins of Minecraft as a group, doing group/teamwork games
  • Transition to 30minutes of video call including a sensory motor break

This group is open to existing clients and new clients. If you are a new client, you will need to complete a Tiny Tackers Therapy group assessment prior to joining the group.

You may choose to pay privately for this service, or if you have NDIS funding you may use the funding allocated in your capacity building supports - improved daily living.   Please note that when you enrol your child you are booking a place in the group. Your commitment to group membership depends on a therapist to child ratio so casual attendance is not available.

Our next group will be held in Term 1 2021. We are now seeking expressions of interest. Email us your child's name to find out more.
